“Revealing the True Fire Wife”
This interactive day revolves around the wives opening up about their struggles, and allowing for conversations that provide them with strength, and empowers them to bond with the other wives. This day is very important to break down walls that wives have built and begins a path for them to connect and reveal their needs and reveal solutions. -
“The Family Underground”
Prior to the conference, we will be collecting statements from “fire kids” all across the country, that we will also be using for this day. This interactive day is about building on the Monday session and talking about the fragmentations that exist in the family unit due to this “fire life”. Children, and their concerns, are an important part of the overall dynamic, and many times resentments build between the spouses, and the children become inadvertently caught in the middle, or in some cases, can be purposely used. Keeping real and honest communication open with your firefighter and helping to facilitate healthy communication between your children and your spouse, is key to a solid marriage and family unit.
This session is also geared towards the couple, and the marriage. It is not a necessity that the couple already have children, however it is a very important component for those who plan on having a family in the future.
This is also a great session for those who are dealing with stepchildren.

In bringing the message of Fire Wife Life forward, she encourages women to feel comfortable in asking for help, speaking their needs to other wives, and not being afraid to be a part of the fire family community. Simultaneously, the message and navigation of the importance of seeing one’s own worth and having one’s own identity outside of “fire spouse” is imperative to having a successful marriage and a healthy family dynamic.
